So i need to know what type will be good for a first timer.
secondly which is the best linux so far.
and finally which will be easier to use for a windors expienced user.

I want to setup a VNC repeater on a Linux server that has a public static IP so that I can connect and reverse connect two computers behind firewalls I don’t have access to control. How would I set this up?

Additional, but likely not needed info:
I have a Debian 4.0 server and I have a public /29 subnet on a 3 Mb down 678 Kb up DSL connection. I also want to give my Mom tech support, but I would rather have VNC repeat through the DMZ to my private subnet rather than give my PC a public IP.
